Madison Thies

Instructor & Choreographer

Madison began dancing at the age of four recreationally and nationally at the young age of six.
Throughout her early years of dancing, she exposed her training to all genres. Competing
brought many awards and honors, including instruction from many professional teachers and
famous dancers from around the world. She continued her love for dance as a Golden Girl at
Johnson County Community College after high school. She was still dancing when COVID-19
came in 2020 and decided to continue online not knowing where life would lead her. During
COVID she decided to teach at Infinity to continue in the dance world.

Madison smiles seeing her love for dance brought to life by her students. Dance allows one to
express an idea or emotion, release energy, exercise, and tell a story through movement.
Teaching her passion for dance is important as she knows, through studies, that dance is proven
to increase cognitive development. Madison has strong nutritional habits and is aware of the
overall health that dance provides to the body; balance and flexibility leading to better stability
and fewer injuries, cardiovascular health which decreases one’s chances of developing heart
disease, and an element that is often overlooked are improved listening as dancers listen to music
finding rhythm and flow. All these benefits are taught to her students from the moment they
enter her class.

In Madison’s free time you can find her at the lake, working out, or hanging out with family and
her best-rescued boy, Tonto. Dancing competitively around the United States started her love
and desire to travel at a very young age. Dance has taught Madison self-confidence and the
ability to process feelings through dance movement, which translates to a masterpiece in the
development of a young dancer’s education and development.
